Within a business mission to Japan AIP and ROTOBO held two investment seminar where the Japanese industrial corporations were provided with information on the conditions of localization of production in Russia and presented the possibility of industrial parks and special economic zone of Russia. AIP members in the delegation held a series of meetings and negotiations with potential investors and establish new business contacts in Asia business community.

On March 1, 2016 at the seminar "The localization of production of Japanese companies in Russia" in Tokyo was attended by over 100 participants from Japan. Seminar in Nagoya on 2th of March was devoted to the topic "Opportunities for business development of Japanese manufacturing companies in Russia" and gathered more than 20 participants from the Japanese side.

The Russian side was represented by AIP executive board, the representatives of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Ministry of the Russian Federation on the development of the Far East, JSC "Special Economic Zones" and the Industry development Fund, representatives of the Astrakhan Region, the Leningrad Region, the Ulyanovsk Region, the Sverdlovsk region, Moscow and Moscow Region, Stavropol and Khabarovsk Territory.

Seminars promoting industrial parks have been organized in the framework of the Russian-Japanese industrial dialogue, the Russian delegation which was headed by Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov.

In 2014 Japan hald the 7th place among Russian economic partners, ahead of the United States, Turkey, France and Italy. Trade turnover between the two countries last year reached an absolute maximum of 33.2 billion dollars. Direct cumulative investment of Japanese business in the Russian industry for the period up to 2025 inclusive in Japan are estimated at approximately $15 billion versus $ 2.7 billion by 2015.
